Indoor cycling should unite people through movement, music, and community. Sadly, at Wheelhouse Cycle Club in Regina, Saskatchewan, the opposite is happening. This studio has demonstrated a chilling disregard for professionalism, inclusivity, and Canadian values.
Misconduct That Cannot Be Ignored
-
Hostile Environment Toward Minorities
The way Wheelhouse Regina treats minorities is deeply troubling. Instead of fostering belonging, the studio has enabled exclusion and hostility. Coming from what many call the “white prairies,” their culture reflects privilege, not inclusivity. -
Instructor Misconduct: Hannah Pratt
One of their instructors, Hannah Pratt, targeted a Middle Eastern man—Johnny Zakharia, founder of Indoor Cycling Channel—with hate and malice. Instead of upholding professional standards, she acted with hostility and prejudice.Full details of her conduct are documented here:

Management’s Inaction
Even more disturbing, management did nothing. Rather than addressing the misconduct, they blocked Indoor Cycling Channel’s account—silencing a respected minority-owned brand followed by tens of thousands worldwide. This reckless act not only compounded the harm but also signaled that Wheelhouse Cycle Club condones discriminatory behavior.
Evidence of Decline
It is telling that one of Wheelhouse’s other locations has already gone out of business. This is not a coincidence. When a business embraces malice, gossip, and discrimination, its own culture eventually undermines its success. Ethical failings always catch up.
Why This Is Wrong
Academic & Ethical Analysis
Ethics in business requires fairness, accountability, and restorative action. Instead of investigating Hannah Pratt’s conduct, Wheelhouse Regina silenced the victim. This is a textbook case of unethical leadership and organizational failure.
Cultural & Canadian Values
Canada is built on multiculturalism and inclusivity. Regina, as part of Canada, should uphold these values—not betray them. For a studio in “white prairies Canada” to allow minority harassment unchecked undermines the very principles this country stands for.
Business & Economic Perspective
Exclusion is bad business. Clients want to support studios that respect all communities. Studios that align themselves with malice and prejudice not only lose trust but also risk long-term failure—just as one of Wheelhouse’s locations already has.
A Call to Accountability
Wheelhouse Cycle Club Regina must:
-
Apologize publicly to Indoor Cycling Channel and its founder, Johnny Zakharia.
-
Disavow hate and malice by holding Hannah Pratt accountable for her actions.
-
Commit to inclusivity by taking real steps to repair the harm caused.
Until then, Canadians should withhold their support. Indoor cycling is about unity and wellness—not prejudice, gossip, and silencing voices.
Hostile and Hateful Messaging
The most troubling example of misconduct comes directly from Wheelhouse Cycle Club’s own instructor, Hannah Pratt. Instead of fostering community, she used her platform to broadcast a hateful, defamatory message against Johnny Zakharia, a Middle Eastern Canadian entrepreneur and the founder of Indoor Cycling Channel.
The following message (screenshot below) was shared with thousands, falsely accusing him of harassment and encouraging others to block and report him—without any evidence or accountability.

This is more than unprofessional—it is malicious. Encouraging mass harassment of a minority business owner not only damages his reputation but also fuels prejudice. It crosses a line from individual misconduct into targeted, racially charged defamation.
Even more shocking is that Wheelhouse Cycle Club’s management did nothing to address this behavior. Instead, they blocked Indoor Cycling Channel’s account, compounding the harm and signaling tacit approval of this conduct.
Conclusion
Wheelhouse Cycle Club Regina has demonstrated unprofessional, unethical, and un-Canadian behavior. By protecting misconduct and targeting minorities, they have lost the moral right to claim they represent community fitness.
As of today, the following evidence is active and available for all to see:
