When the team at Indoor Cycling Channel developed about 8 years ago we were based in Canada and to be honest, we were not aware that Mexico had a collection of the top Spin Studios in the world. Because of limited experience we thought that USA and Canada had the best studios. And that stereotype or misconception still exists today. Unless one travels to Mexico or Spain, or does some serious research they most likely will never know that the grass IS GREENER on the other side 🙂
For example when we went to a small city in Mexico, called Merida, in the state of Yucatan, we almost fell on our bottoms when we discovered some bad ass studios. Which we will discuss in future posts. However in this article we travel to the famous Mexican city known as Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco.
Guadalajara is a city in western Mexico. It’s known for tequila and mariachi music, both born in Jalisco, the state of which Guadalajara is the capital. Guadalajara’s historic center is dotted with colonial plazas and landmarks. The population is 1.5 million which makes it a large city. Guadalajara has very modern architecture and boutique retail businesses. A very beautiful city and a tourist attraction indeed.
Now we focus on Guadalajara Spin studios. One of the best, even not the best is a studio called Countdown Fit Labs. Countdown Fitlabs definitely surpassed all our expectations, and exceeded the typical USA studio.
Countdown FitLabs has all modern facilities and from the moment you are received at the reception you feel a very good vibe, the coaches of all classes are super professional. They also have excellent functional fitness classes and even cardio boxing classes.
