I am awkward and definitely not good at talking in front of crowds and sometimes the combo of that causes so much anxiety. Over time, ive learned to overcome that by accepting who I am inside and out, and understanding that my personality is what makes me, me. You can fake it all you want but when you find yourself and your voice and what makes you, YOU, you start to shine. The world needs more of everyones unique light.   • From @soundridecycling Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. For some reason I've had a bunch of instructors reach out to me this week about receiving "hate mail" and hurtful comments on their pages. Yes... I get them too.... quite often actually. BUT, that shouldn't stop us from doing what we are passionate about. . Unfortunately there is still strong judgement against choreographed cycling... and that dislike seems to exhibit itself as hurtful attacks on not only what we do, but the person themselves. I've been called an idiot, a disgrace to the industry, and a joke. I've been told that I am harming my riders... and that what I do does nothing but injure people. I've been an instructor for almost 10 years... and luckily that length of experience has given me strength and resilience in my stance FOR what I do. And through all the hate, I've learned the best way to respond is with kindness and understanding. If you get DM's or comments on your page, respond with respect ❤️ OR chose to not give it energy, and just don't respond at all. Don't be afraid to create social boundaries and block people. You get to chose what energy you allow in your life. . The bottom line.... KEEP BEING YOU! KEEP DOING YOU! Don't stop. The opinion of another only has power over you, if you allow it. We're stronger! We are driven to impact lives on the BIKE!
